“Crystals are living beings at the beginning of creation.”(Nikola Tesla)
Versione italiana: La canzone 'Cristalli'
Below is a link to my song ‘Crystals’, the soundtrack to my poetic sylloge of the same name, published by Interno Libri and available for purchase at the following link:
What is the relationship between this element of the natural world and my poetry? I could quote Margaret Atwood: “The genesis of a poem for me is usually a cluster of words. The only good metaphor I can think of is a scientific one: dipping a thread into a supersaturated solution to induce crystal formation.”
A song, then, is like a gem that finally frees the sound imprisoned within itself, that emits a ray of poetry and melody.

CRYSTALS - Lyrics translation
Light that
radiates up to here
pierces the darkness
Humble,
embraces men
ungrateful and fearful
But then, crystals upon us
a stream of poetry
ray of nostalgia
And I, godless crystal
centuries away
in useless stories
Light, you know
I miss you ever more
the origin you are
Untie me
from autotune and trap
from a world without you
Water lily, contrast and pure idea
petrified here, yearning for freedom
But then, crystals on us
and the flow of poetry
ray of nostalgia
But then, crystals like us
between cocktails and coffee
still shining
And I, crystal back to God
dissolved in dust
Of stars and wisteria
Of stars and wisteria,
crystal and iris
