A META PHYSICAL WOMAN : a new song

What follows is a song between the serious and the joking, written thinking back to an episode of a few years ago. I had just arrived at my choir rehearsal, when a friend greeted me like this "Here comes the metaphysical woman! You are it in a philosophical sense, for what you write, but also in a literal sense: 'half-physical' because you weigh half a pound!"

The song is deliberately self-ironic and a bit caricatural in both the Italian and English versions; however, it contains some fragments of personal truth. The existential research, the tendency towards the subtle dimensions of existence and the almost total lack of interest in more earthly matters - excluding cheesecake - are really distinctive traits of my personality.

Before giving voice to music and poetry, I conclude with the wise words of my friend Manuela "You, Sara, in all this spiritualistic-new age babel, you reassure me, because even if you have walked your beautiful inner path, you are still the same old prick!"
