D'inCanti diVersi

‘D'inCanti diVersi’ is my new collection of poems, just published by Transeuropa Edizioni. It is poetry that melts into music and magic: a book in which ancient echoes and modern suggestions, distant scents and Tuscan glimpses intertwine. 

It embodies and ‘puts on paper’ what I have called ‘The Way of Poetry’: a path of self-realisation and self-knowledge through literary art. It is not a creative writing workshop, nor is it an academic excursus on the art of poetry, although it uses techniques and includes elements of both approaches. Rather, it represents an aesthetic path to self-fulfilment, using beauty, art and the senses as tools to access our inner landscape. The aim is to give it expression and form, restoring greater harmony and meaning to ourselves and our lives.

This is ‘D'inCanti diVersi’: hermetic, oracular, cryptic poetry, in which the reader can identify their own ‘words of purple’, that is, those precious expressions or images that strike them, question them and enlighten them. Each poem is therefore configured as an open question and an emotional koan; it vibrates in the ether without being forced into a purely intellectual analysis or rational understanding.

‘D'inCanti diVersi’ in this case, and the Way of Poetry in general, therefore appeal to our intuition, that still mysterious territory within us where the voices of the masters and our innate wisdom dwell.
